Attending Cosmetorium 2025

Cosmetorium 2025

The cosmetics and personal care sector is a dynamic and steadily growing market. Trends such as personalized skincare, clean beauty, sustainability, and transparency are reshaping the industry and raising expectations around product performance and the quality of supporting evidence. As brands seek more robust scientific data to differentiate formulations, advanced analytical approaches are becoming increasingly relevant. In this context, the cosmetics sector is a strategic area where omics sciences can support innovation and evidence generation in R&D.

Members of oloBion’s commercial team attended Cosmetorium 2025 in Barcelona (October 21–22). The event brought together professionals from across the cosmetics and personal care industry to explore innovations in ingredients, formulation technologies, and product development.

Cosmetorium is a specialized industry event focused on cosmetic ingredients, formulation technologies, and product innovation. Held annually in Barcelona, it brings together raw material suppliers, laboratories, contract manufacturers, regulatory experts, and brand representatives through an exhibition and a technical conference program. The event facilitates direct interaction between ingredient developers and formulators, while addressing scientific, regulatory, and market trends shaping the sector. Presentations, workshops, and networking sessions provide a forum to discuss new active ingredients, evaluation strategies, sustainability considerations, and advances in cosmetic science.

For oloBion, Cosmetorium was an excellent opportunity to engage with industry peers, identify emerging trends, and discuss how metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics can support cosmetics R&D from ingredient and formulation screening to generating robust analytical datasets that help support product claims.

We connected with companies interested in integrating omics approaches into their R&D strategies, with the goal of enabling data-informed formulation development and stronger scientific documentation.
