oloBion at the 12th World Congress on Targeting Microbiota 2025: Translating Microbiome Science into Actionable Insights

oloBion at the 12th World Congress on Targeting Microbiota 2025

On 5–6 November 2025, oloBion participated in the 12th World Congress on Targeting Microbiota, held in Valencia, Spain, as a Gold Sponsor and scientific contributor. The congress is a leading international forum that brings together researchers, clinical collaborators, and industry experts dedicated to advancing microbiome science and translating it into actionable insights for health research.

Beyond Sequencing: Unlocking Functional Insights
During the event, oloBion delivered a scientific presentation highlighting mass spectrometry–based metabolomics as a powerful approach to assess microbiome functionality.

While sequencing technologies provide essential taxonomic information, our contribution emphasized the value of complementing sequencing with metabolomics to uncover:

  • functional metabolic activity,
  • key biochemical pathways, and
  • diet–microbiota–host interactions.

By integrating metabolomic profiling with sequencing data, researchers can move beyond “who is there” toward understanding what the microbiome is doing, a critical step in translating microbiome science into meaningful preclinical and nutrition-science strategies.

At oloBion, we see metabolomics increasingly recognized as a key technology for turning microbiome research into actionable applications. Our participation at Targeting Microbiota 2025 reinforced the importance of metabolomics for functional validation, helping convert microbiome-derived signals into biologically interpretable outcomes that can support precision nutrition, and translational research.

Building collaborations at the microbiome–nutrition–health interface
As both a Gold Sponsor and scientific contributor, oloBion engaged with leading experts in microbiome research, precision nutrition, and translational medicine. The congress provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, explore new collaborations, and reinforce our commitment to advancing omics-powered solutions at the intersection of microbiome science, nutrition, and health.

We are proud to support platforms that accelerate the transition from complex biological data to practical, evidence-based solutions.

If you attended Targeting Microbiota 2025 and would like to explore potential collaborations, we would be delighted to continue the conversation.
