oloBion Nominated for the Skin Challenges 2025 Innovation Showcase

Skin Challenges 2025

oloBion has been nominated for the Skin Challenges 2025 Innovation Showcase in recognition of its research exploring proteomic and lipidomic signatures associated with skin ageing and the development of an integrated multi-omics strategy to investigate how ageing-related and metabolic processes may influence stratum corneum homeostasis.

The study uses high-resolution LC–HRMS to characterize molecular patterns linked to skin ageing, providing a systems-level view of biochemical and structural changes observed in ageing skin. The analysis identified notable shifts in proteostasis-related pathways, IDE expression levels, and acylceramide composition, supporting further investigation into how metabolic factors may relate to changes in skin barrier properties over time.

Overall, the work contributes to a clearer understanding of molecular processes associated with age-related changes in skin function and underscores the value of combining proteomic and lipidomic data for integrated interpretation. Integrating protein expression patterns with lipid remodeling profiles may help inform future research questions in cosmetic science and skin biology.

The nomination highlights oloBion’s capabilities in integrated multi-omics workflows, high-quality mass spectrometry analysis, and data processing. oloBion supports innovation in skin biology by generating robust molecular datasets and interpretation frameworks for R&D programs in the cosmetic and personal care sectors.
