To conclude a successful 2025, the oloBion team came together for the Samurai Experience.
We stepped into the world of the samurai and truly experienced aspects of their discipline and tradition firsthand. We dressed in traditional kimonos, surprisingly comfortable and elegant. Guided by experts, we also practice sword techniques: first training carefully with wooden katanas to learn the correct posture, focus, and movements, and later, when we were already experts, we handled a real katana. Beyond the physical practice, we explored the mindset behind their way of life.
What stood out most was understanding that the true power of the samurai was not only in combat, but in their mindset. Their values: loyalty, integrity, commitment, discipline, and continuous self-improvement remain surprisingly relevant today. In many ways, these principles can also be applied to a company environment: loyalty translates into trust within the team, discipline into scientific rigor, resilience into the ability to overcome challenges, and honor into ethical responsibility in our work.
To complete the experience, we shared a traditional Japanese meal that immersed us even further in the culture. We enjoyed sushi, tempura, edamame, and wakame, accompanied by green tea and a traditional Japanese beer. For dessert, we tasted matcha mochis, seated on the floor, as is traditionally done.
All in all, we had the opportunity to strengthen team cohesion, focus, and shared values in a unique and engaging setting.
As the year ends, we extend our sincere gratitude to our clients, collaborators, and partners for their trust and continued collaboration. We look forward to advancing new scientific milestones together in the year ahead.
